About the Role


Senior Product Manager will own the product growth strategy for our new Business Initiatives at Simplilearn. They will define the direction and launch of world class programs that drive growth(0 →1), revenue and customer satisfaction through these programs. The role will manage the vision, planning and execution of the program roadmap.


The person coming on-board should be driven by a larger purpose and someone who is willing to walk the extra mile to make a change in the lives of thousands of learners. The role has the following broad dimensions -


● Develop the core vision, positioning and messaging for the new Business

Initiatives(launching new product line, new product category, new catchment etc.).

● Own the product strategy; Understand customer requirements, market gaps/ need gaps

and drive execution approach for all the training programs within a category.

● Connect activities and deliverable to business outcomes. Should have the ability to

define the economic rationale for every major effort and translate into metrics.

● Have the ability to be able to work & influence cross-functional teams: Content

development, sales, operations, business & finance. Should have the experience of

managing healthy conflicts and drive people towards customer goals and organizational

priorities.

● Collaborate with external influencers, subject matter experts, business teams, and other

cross-functional teams effectively in driving the projects and be the point of contact on

the team.

● Create and maintain product plan which should include details like course catalog

coverage, target audience, competition analysis, revenue estimates, and go-to-market

strategy

● Work closely with management, business, engineering, and operations teams during the

process of course creation


Who is the Right Fit?

● Tier 1 MBA graduate or someone who has demonstrated growth and performance of

their products in a high growth, high scale environment. This could be in a category

management or product management role for a revenue generating product

● Minimum 3+ years of overall experience in these areas:

○ Product management or Category management of revenue driving products

preferably in high ASP, premium product lines.

○ P&L management of products and product lines: from revenue to margin

management.

● This candidate should also have specific behavioral traits such as:

○ Strong influencing skills and the ability to work with cross functional

stakeholders to get the work done

○ Ability to work on ambiguous problems and create an execution plan for success

○ Ability to understand data and base his/her decisions on sound analysis

○ Structured thinking through frameworks and product patterns.

● Work experience from eLearning or Internet domains preferred.
