This role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, payments infrastructure, customer experience, and business growth. You'll work across multiple product lines, markets, and stakeholder groups to create scalable capabilities that help teams move faster while delivering better outcomes for merchants and consumers.

The Role You'll Play

This is a senior individual contributor role where you'll lead through influence, product judgment, and execution excellence. You'll shape shared payments capabilities that support critical business needs today while building the foundation for long-term scale, reliability, and global growth.

  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for shared payments capabilities across Playlist
  • Identify opportunities to create leverage through common platforms, clear ownership models, and thoughtful trade-offs
  • Lead the evolution of core payments platform capabilities, including payment processing, partner integrations, reliability, scalability, reporting, and future platform expansion
  • Partner closely with Engineering to evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and prioritize platform investments that create lasting business value
  • Own the strategy for shared payment experiences across products and markets, with a focus on conversion, trust, accessibility, and ease of adoption
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Risk, GTM, and Product leaders to align priorities and deliver business-critical initiatives
  • Drive adoption of shared capabilities by building trust, clarifying trade-offs, and demonstrating measurable business impact.
  • Partner with product teams across Playlist to ensure platform investments translate into measurable improvements in merchant and consumer experiences
  • Establish frameworks, principles, and operating mechanisms that improve product and payments decision-making across the organization

Experience You Bring

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, with significant ownership of platform products, payments products, fintech experiences, or other technically complex domains
  • Deep understanding of payments ecosystems, including payment processing, authorization, settlement, reconciliation, disputes, partner relationships, and operational considerations
  • Experience building shared capabilities that multiple teams have successfully adopted across products, markets, or business areas
  • Strong systems thinking, with the ability to reason through complex dependencies, trade-offs, integrations, APIs, architecture, and technical constraints
  • Proven ability to partner with Engineering and Design to create customer experiences that balance technical excellence, trust, accessibility, and business outcomes
  • Clear communication skills, with experience aligning stakeholders, building consensus, and simplifying complex topics for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Track record of delivering meaningful business outcomes in ambiguous, high-impact environments
  • Experience with international products, payments, regulatory requirements, or multi-market launches is a plus

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success is measured by your ability to:

  • Deliver scalable platform capabilities that accelerate innovation across products
  • Improve payment performance, reliability, and customer experience
  • Drive adoption of shared capabilities across teams and business areas
  • Balance customer needs, technical investments, and business outcomes
  • Create alignment across diverse stakeholders and functions.
  • Improve merchant and consumer experiences by reducing friction across critical payment journeys
  • Establish a strong foundation for future growth and expansion

This is an opportunity to shape the future of payments at Playlist while working on some of the most strategically important initiatives across the company.
