As an Associate Director of Product at PhonePe, you will own and drive the roadmap for our payment solutions and devices products for offline merchants. You will work with other pod members and a diverse set of stakeholders towards a collective set of objectives. We work on complex technology, scale while iterating quickly and have a bias for impact in everything we do.


Leading our Offline Payment Solutions and devices product portfolio, you will be working with leaders in the offline merchant business unit to determine the portfolio product strategy. You will be responsible for evangelizing and aligning all the cross-functional stakeholders on the strategy and plans and work on the execution and delivery to realize the identified opportunity and impact.

As an Associate Director of Product/ Product Lead, you will:


  • Defines a portfolio product strategy from first principles that becomes the org’s reference point; drives multi-pod execution and measurable portfolio outcomes
  • Identifies and delivers multiple Annual Operating Plan-shaping bets; consistently makes correct profitability vs growth calls across portfolio, shifts business trajectory with durable levers (pricing, distribution, unit economics, cost-to-serve)
  • Designs pod-level org structure and capability plan that materially increases throughput and quality; shapes cross-functional Hiring AOP with high accuracy; prevents bottlenecks before they form.
  • Builds a strong leadership bench; direct reports consistently progress levels. Establishes pod-wide talent mechanisms with counterparts that raise performance across functions.
  • Designs and evolves the pod operating system (planning, decision forums, execution reviews, launch readiness, learning loops) with measurable improvements in reliability and speed.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and be the go to person for product decisions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with external customers and stakeholders, communicate objectives and progress.

  • At least 10+ years of experience in Product / Platform building and development.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Contributes to business decisions regularly and proactively.
  • Can build credibility via knowledge and judgment to persuade others.
