Primary Responsibilities


The role will report to the Area Product Owner with responsibility for the following key functions:


  • Lead a team focusing in our Originations Domain and Work with the APO and stakeholders on prioritization of a backlog
  • Plan and execute targeted and comprehensive testing and validate production functionality and in addition should replicate business process in test environments to collaborate with product and feature team members for tactical and strategic solutions
  • Document new and modified functionality for vested stakeholders such as Sales, Underwriting, Support, Quality, Servicing, Risk
  • Keep leaders and team informed of key information, issues, decisions and actions and foster engagement with development team
  • Drives customer journey for their area product (including industry/market segmentation, valuation, sales, marketing) and creating the business Use case in addition manage the stakeholders
  • Executes on area roadmaps aligned to overall PO vision using careful analysis of customer needs, competitive intelligence, data/analytics, firm's capabilities and financials
  • Solid understanding of underlying technology that drives product. This includes ownership for tech assets needed for product development (full view expectation to help drive end-to-end ownership and the assumption of the tech debt that builds up over time based on decision making)


Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills


  • With overall 12+ years of experience, should have played Product Analyst role preferably with Agile methods, process & execution
  • Requires experience developing business requirements, writing stories, preferably working knowledge for creating testing conditions, use cases and validation criteria
  • Directs area product workflow through JIRA. Prioritizes and sequences backlog considering audit/controls, data landscape, data center migration, resiliency, etc., coordination of release dates and is responsible for area backlog and health as part of overall product.
  • Collaborative and a high level of comfort and effectiveness in coordination roles; working with multiple business and technology partners to drive transparency in project deliverables.
  • Leads software product development and tech build to create quality and scalable features/solutions including contributing to team through the writing of user stories and Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Specifically, Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile principles and processes and is experienced using Agile backlog management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Can navigate area product priorities, customer expectations and relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the work is focused on the right things


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills


  • Strong understanding of a US Mortgage drivers with some understanding of broader business context
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written (able to effectively communicate/influence thru various levels in the organization).
  • Sharp analytical, problem-solving and leadership skill
  • Maintains the highest standards of honesty, fairness and ethics and attention to detail, ability to work independently, with strong time management skills. Proven ability to deliver results with urgency
