Overview

Microsoft 365 Copilot harnesses the power of generative AI through foundational large language models to usher in a new era of AI-first productivity for hundreds of millions of enterprise users. As business workflows don't typically run exclusively on Microsoft 365 applications and data formats, Copilot is built as a platform right from the very beginning. Using extensibility, customers augment M365 Copilot with AI agents – which leverage custom skills, organizational-specific knowledge and natural language instructions to enable truly spectacular AI scenarios and power connected workflows.

M365 Copilot Platform Ecosystem team is designing and building innovative AI agents on the M365 Copilot platform, including agent templates for makers as well as more bespoke solutions with leading customers. As a Product Manager in the team, you will drive the next wave of agents built using the latest generative AI technology on M365 Copilot’s extensible platform. Working across our engineering teams and with our most strategic customers and partners, you will deliver high-quality, sticky and transformative Copilot agents for use by millions of end-users. This engineering PM role is an excellent opportunity to don both scenario and experience-focused product PM as well as an external-facing solutions PM (Ecosystem PM) hats – at the same time!

We are looking for self-motivated, entrepreneurial, hands-on technical and outcome-drive Product Manager II candidates who can operate in a fast-paced environment – predicated by rapid change and opportunities birthed out of ambiguity. You will frequently influence internal and customer stakeholders without authority, perform rapid exploration, bring your high sense of ownership and bias for execution to own and drive the vision, strategy and product roadmap for multiple customer and partner-built agents with a responsibility for partner and customer impact, developer experience, adoption growth strategy and business impact/ROI to support the next wave of growth for Copilot agents. You will have a direct role in pushing the latest AI frontiers, including autonomous agents, agentic AI systems, deep research and reasoning, multi-agent frameworks, complex data reasoning, model fine-tuning and agentic UX.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced "builder" who advocates for generative AI-led transformation. They should be an "agent boss," meaning they regularly utilize generative AI and agents in their daily activities. The candidate should possess a "learn-it-all" mindset rather than a "know-it-all" attitude, and be comfortable navigating the uncertainties associated with transformative, time-sensitive, ROI-driven engagements with customers aiming to become Frontier Firms. This individual must adopt both business- and user-centric approaches to setting objectives, conducting executive-level discussions, aligning stakeholders, managing escalations, planning product roadmaps, and scheduling engagement timelines. They will lead the technical solution development, collaborating with internal M365 Copilot platform engineering teams as well as customers and developers working on our platform. Hands on experience with tools like Replit, Cursor, LangChain, LllamaIndex, OpenAI APIs, Auto-GPT, Hugging Face Transformers, GitHub Copilot, Lovable, Claude, etc. is a must. This must be demonstrated using real examples of rapid solution prototyping.

We operate in a fast-paced environment with rapid exploration, iteration, and execution, as we develop the M365 Copilot extensibility platform to transform how people and companies work using generative AI. Your peers will be among the top professionals in the industry, sharing a strong focus on customer and partner success. This role involves interacting with partners and customers, and occasional travel within and outside the base location is expected.

We believe that we are rewiring productivity for the next 30 years! If you love taking on challenges and delivering nonlinear impact in a fast-paced environment, we want to speak with you!
