Overview

A New Era of Enterprise Commerce Has Begun — And You Are Invited to Help Build It at Microsoft.

Every organization on the planet is shifting to an AI-powered world. How they discover, buy, optimize, and scale Microsoft Cloud must evolve with them. This time, it’s not just people interacting with our systems. It’s AI agents. Autonomous workflows. Self-governing commerce ecosystems. A fundamental reinvention of how cloud value is created and consumed.

At Enterprise Commerce (EC), Microsoft, we are building the platform that will define this future — a commerce engine that is:

  • Planet-scale in reach
  • Agent-driven at its core
  • Intelligent in every workflow
  • Modern, resilient, and radically simplified

The problems we’re solving are bold and consequential.

  • Architecting commerce to be AI-native — where agents purchase, renew, and optimize
  • Modernizing decades of licensing and pricing logic into real-time, predictive, adaptive systems
  • Powering $150B+ of global commerce with next-level reliability and intelligence
  • Building APIs and platforms that every Microsoft Cloud product relies on to serve the world

This isn’t a rewrite of code; it’s a rewrite of how the world engages with Microsoft Cloud. And the team shaping that future is looking for talent like you.

If you are a product manager who is customer obsessed, loves complexity & scale, wants your work to impact every customer touching Azure, M365, Dynamics, Security, and Industry Clouds and is being part of this transformation — this is your arena.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and roadmap for a commerce workflow or platform capability; define outcomes, milestones, and measurable success metrics.
  • Identify where AI meaningfully improves customer and business outcomes (and where deterministic solutions are better) considering cost, reliability, latency, security, and compliance.
  • Lead product discovery: customer interviews, problem framing, rapid prototyping, and validation; translate learnings into prioritized requirements.
  • Write crisp PRDs and user stories for AI-assisted experiences (e.g., guided purchase, renewal assistance, proactive optimization), including guardrails, fallbacks, and evaluation criteria.
  • Partner with engineering, design, finance, operations, and go-to-market teams to deliver end-to-end experiences from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Use generative AI tools to accelerate PM work (analysis, synthesis, documentation, communication) and model best practices for secure and responsible usage.
  • Communicate product narrative and trade-offs clearly to executives and stakeholders; influence without authority across complex organizations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software product & program management experience, including at least 3 years or equivalent experience in building enterprise grade B2B products and services.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience and MBA from premium institute is preferred.
  • Ownership, drive, and entrepreneurial mindset to build trust with internal and externals stakeholders.
  • Experience in enterprise commerce, billing, subscription management, or related domains
  • Strong collaboration skills to impact/influence engineering and cross functional teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Builds upon a strong team ethos and embodies company and division values, cultivating a culture based in diversity, inclusion, growth mindset, and customer obsession.
  • Passion for customer satisfaction and launching high-quality products leveraging technology, data and AI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on use of generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot/ChatGPT/Gemini or equivalents) to improve productivity and quality of PM outputs (docs, analysis, planning, comms).
  • Working knowledge of LLM capabilities and limitations, prompt patterns, grounding/verification, and basic evaluation concepts (quality, safety, latency, cost).
  • Experience shaping or launching AI-assisted features (even if you did not build models) such as summarization, search assistance, recommendations, copilots, or workflow automation.
  • Responsible AI mindset: understanding of privacy boundaries, security, transparency, bias risks, and human-in-the-loop design.
  • Experience in enterprise commerce, billing, subscription management, pricing/licensing, or adjacent domains.
