As the Senior Experiences Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of innovation for Surface devices and new experiences. This is a unique opportunity to define and deliver breakthrough experiences that set the standard for PC industry.


You will serve as the visionary and driving force behind groundbreaking AI and commercial-focused experience, partnering with world-class teams across Device PM, Industrial Design, UX Research, Human Factor, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. Your leadership will accelerate idea-to-launch cycles, ensuring that every feature is crafted for real-world impact and business growth.


In this senior-level role, you’ll combine technical depth, design thinking, rapid prototyping, and program leadership to deliver experiences that delight our Surface customers. You’ll champion the voice of the customer, influence product direction across the Surface portfolio, and help define what’s next for Surface devices and experiences in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities


  • Identify experience gaps and opportunities for AI Experiences and Commercial Surface devices based on customer pain points, competitive analysis, product telemetry, and field feedback.
  • Define clear success criteria — quantitative and qualitative — for each experience.
  • Shepherd each experience from the earliest stage of Surface product development (Product Creation Start) through product launch (GA), including leadership sign-off at all intermediate Major Milestone Reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop the experience scope that aligns to Surface brand, business goals, and target customer needs.
  • Collect and integrate customer feedback—through sales win-wires, Customer and Partner Experience (CPE) team insights, and direct customer engagements— into roadmaps and backlog prioritization.
  • Drive launch readiness by authoring experience stories and demos for Marketing partners.
  • Define and execute a roadmap for prototyping across Surface devices, integrating AI-driven tools and workflows.
  • Partner with engineering, design, research, and business teams to prioritize and deliver high-impact prototypes that inform commercial product decisions.
  • Build and iterate on functional prototypes using software tools, leveraging AI-powered prototyping platforms for speed and intelligence in commercial contexts.
  • Champion the use of AI in prototyping — such as generative design, predictive modeling, and automated user testing — to accelerate concept validation for business customers.
  • Create compelling demos and narratives that showcase future commercial experiences to leadership and enterprise customers.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on building and shipping customer-facing experiences in Consumer, B2B or Enterprise setting.
  • Proven track record of shipping complex hardware + software experiences on schedule and at scale.
  • Solid analytical skills: able to define and track success metrics, interpret in-market data, work with telemetry, and translate insights into product improvements.
  • Excellent communicator and facilitator, comfortable driving alignment among senior stakeholders and across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience in software prototyping or innovation programs.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered design and prototyping tools.


Other Requirements


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:


  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on building and shipping customer-facing experiences in Consumer, B2B or Enterprise setting.
  • Deep understanding of Commercial IT buyer and end-user workflows.
  • Experience with Surface or similar premium PC/device lines.
  • Strong technical foundation in prototyping tools and workflows.
  • Portfolio showcasing prototypes or innovation projects.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant technical or business field.
