About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager for Plum Personal, you will own the product vision, strategy, and execution of our B2C insurance and healthcare solutions. You will lead the development of consumer-focused products that serve our community of individual users, driving engagement, retention, and revenue growth. Your mission is to identify, build, and scale innovative insurance and healthcare products that increase Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) while delivering exceptional value to our consumer base

Key Responsibilities


  • Product Strategy & Vision: Own and drive the strategic product roadmap for B2C insurance and healthcare products, balancing user needs, market opportunities, and business profitability goals
  • Growth & Monetization: Design and implement engagement mechanisms, growth strategies, and monetization frameworks to systematically increase ARPU and user lifetime value
  • Consumer Insights: Partner with users and leverage data analytics to understand explicit and latent needs in the personal insurance and healthcare space, identifying opportunities for new product development
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with high-performing engineering, marketing, and business development teams to ensure scalable product delivery that drives both user satisfaction and commercial success
  • Product Performance: Establish, monitor, and measure success metrics including ARPU, user engagement, retention rates, and product adoption, integrating behavioral data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Strategic Decision Making: Make data-driven decisions across multiple domains—from product features to pricing strategies to user acquisition—that optimize both user experience and business outcomes
  • Product Documentation: Author and review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for complex B2C features, ensuring clear communication of user needs and business objectives
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor product team members, fostering a culture of user-centricity, innovation, and commercial excellence in the Personal products vertical

Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years of product management experience with demonstrated success in B2C products, preferably in fintech, insurtech, or healthcare technology
  • Leadership: Strong track record of leading product initiatives and mentoring team members in a growth-oriented environment
  • Growth Focus: Proven ability to drive user engagement, retention, and monetization in consumer products with measurable impact on key business metrics
  • Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with experience in A/B testing, cohort analysis, and user behavior analytics
  • Consumer-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of consumer psychology, user experience principles, and how to create intuitive, engaging product experiences
  • Business Acumen: Experience with pricing strategies, revenue optimization, and understanding of unit economics in B2C busineses
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Success MetricsRevenue Growth: Measurable increase in ARPU and overall revenue from Personal products vertical
  • User Engagement: High user activation, engagement, and retention rates across the product portfolio
  • Product Adoption: Strong adoption rates for new features and products within the existing user base
