We are proud to have the support of the best investors in the game who believe in our mission, solutions and people. Ready to tackle global challenges that impact business, society, and the environment? Come join us.

The Role:

We are looking for a Staff Product Manager for the Merchant Experience Platform within our Omnichannel Fulfillment division. As the PM for this critical platform, you will define and deliver a world-class, seamless merchant experience across the entire journey, from self-serve onboarding and platform configurations to transparent billing and effortless payments. Your mission is to build a fast, intuitive, and reliable platform that serves as the single source of truth for our merchants and powers their success across our logistics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Vision & Strategy: Define the multi-year roadmap for the Merchant Experience Platform, encompassing onboarding, integrations, configuration, billing, and payments.
  • End-to-End Merchant Journey: Own the experience flow from a merchant's first interaction, through system configuration and data setup, to their ongoing financial transactions and reporting.
  • Merchant System Integration Strategy: Drive the strategy for seamlessly integrating with external merchant technologies, including ERP systems (like NetSuite) and e-commerce platforms, ensuring robust data exchange and workflow integrity.
  • Billing & Payments Automation: Drive the strategy and execution for automated payment solutions, revenue recognition, and reliable financial reporting.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Sales to ensure a friction-less merchant journey and accurate financial outcomes.
  • Product Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert who coaches and mentors Senior and IC PMs on complex systems thinking, financial modeling, and platform architecture design.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years in Product Management, preferably within Logistics Tech, SaaS Integrations, Fintech.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of APIs, ERP integrations, and financial reconciliation workflows.
  • Systems Thinking: You can map out how a physical action in a warehouse triggers reconciliation with a merchant system or triggers a financial event for billing.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to conduct deep quantitative analysis, create complex data models, and use data to diagnose root causes and quantify business impact.
  • Problem-Solving Grit: Logistics is messy. You need the ability to find elegant, automated solutions for edge cases and "broken" data.
  • Communication: The ability to explain complex financial logic to a software engineer and high-level business impact to a CFO.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in complex, regulated industries (Logistics, Fintech, Healthcare, etc.).
  • Experience owning a product roadmap and delivering measurable business impact (e.g., revenue growth, efficiency gains).

Why This Challenge Matters:

The Merchant Experience Platform is the gateway to Flexport's logistics ecosystem. By owning the entire journey - from an effortless onboarding and configuration process to reliable, transparent billing and payments - you are directly impacting Flexport’s bottom line, driving merchant adoption, and removing the friction that holds global trade back.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience with NetSuite, Stripe, or high-volume transactional billing systems.

Why Flexport:

At Flexport, we’re building the future of global trade. Our product team is at the heart of this transformation, driving solutions that have a direct impact on our customers and the logistics industry. We foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous learning, giving you the opportunity to work on meaningful, impactful projects while supporting your professional growth.
