Backend Engineer [Founding Team] at Serri

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the front-end development team to design and implement APIs and server-side logic.
• Developement and Maintainance of web applications using latest and optimal techniques.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in JavaScript, with the option to use TypeScript.
• Integrate with various data storage solutions, including Redis, SQL databases, and NoSQL databases.
• Implement and manage queuing systems to handle background tasks and data processing.
• Optimise server performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine application requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debugginh issues, code reviews, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1-2 years of professional experience in web development with a focus on backend technologies.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, with knowledge of TypeScript..
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in Docker, Kafka, Reddis, SQS, RabbitMQ, etc.
• Experience with Cloud deployments & managements, Containerisation, Automations, etc.
• Strong understanding of web security best practices.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
