Founding Engineer (Backend + Infra) at Tiny API

What we're looking for

We're looking for a super ambitious, product minded person to come join us a founding engineer and own all things backend + systems.

You should apply if...

• You're passionate about building beautifully crafted APIs + creating awesome developer experiences. Tiny API enables developers to monetise their APIs, it’d be a shame if ours don’t set a benchmark. Build a product you would use, and bring your unique insights and perspective to the table as an engineer in shaping our product offering.
• You understand systems, services and how to make them talk effortlessly - our platform serves millions of requests per day and promises lowest latency and high uptime while maintaining the most advanced security protocols. It’s a challenge that excite and scare us at the same time.
• You like solving hefty problems. Our greatest challenges are yet on the horizon, and we'll need hard-working and creative minds to solve fundamental challenges for the world's largest API company (to be).
• You value autonomy, moving fast and getting lots done. We have no time or interest in bureaucracy and micro-management - we're moving fast and you'll be required to take responsibility for delivering awesome product end to end.
• You'd like to make a significant impact early on, and share in the success of a business you've helped build.
• You are comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of iteration of an early-stage startup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience designing backend infra for scale.
• Proficiency in either Django or NodeJs
• Building performant architecture, schemas and optimization
• Devops knowledge is a bonus
