Responsibilities:

- Scale and support distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality.

- Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.

- Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

- Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience.

- 8+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.

- 8+ years experience programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, Go or other relevant coding languages

Preferred Qualifications:

- 8+ years of UNIX systems engineering and/or systems administration experience

- Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.

- Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale ingress and/or egress proxy infrastructure in production environments.

- Deep understanding of open-source proxy technologies such as HAProxy, NGINX, Envoy, or similar

- Strong focus on reliability, scalability, and performance tuning of network proxies in high-availability systems

- Proven coding skills in a high level language with interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.

- Experience troubleshooting unix stack and large scale java applications.
